On the second day we are halfway there – !!YAY!! - but don't give up now

🌟 The 2nd Day – Petition Update 🌟
They say if you can get 10 signatures in the first 24 hours, a petition has a real chance of success. Well, we’ve smashed that milestone – thank you all! 🙌

In just one day, we’ve reached 233 signatures – that’s already 50% of the way to our goal. 🎉 But we’re not stopping here. For the council to take us seriously, we need enough signatures to represent the majority of households in Springbrook. With around 450 households (according to Energex), that means we’re aiming for at least 400 signatures.

👉 These can come from locals, tourists, or supportive friends anywhere in the world. The more voices, the stronger our message. Imagine the impact if we not only hit 400 but exceeded it – 500, 800, or even 1,000! That would really show the council that people are watching and care deeply about this.

💌 A quick note: Change.org sometimes asks for contributions to promote the petition. Thank you to those who’ve chipped in – it’s appreciated more than you know. But please remember: signing is always free. The most powerful promotion we can get is YOU sharing the petition. Post it on Facebook, send it by email, drop it in a group chat – every share helps us get closer to our goal.

📢 This week, I’ll also be printing flyers with a QR code to make signing easy. I’ll be putting these up around Springbrook’s public spaces, and I’m happy to send the file to anyone who’d like to print and display them elsewhere – whether here on the mountain, in Mudgeeraba, or even at Councillor Glen Tozer’s office.

✅ Speaking of Glen Tozer, I’ve already contacted him, but it’s powerful if each of us reaches out individually. The more messages he receives, the clearer it is that we’re united and serious about this change.
