Petition updateObjection to Mount Isa City Council 6% Rate Hike Price Rise Increase

Mount Isa Renters/Tenants will be affected by all MICC & Councillors proposed rate rises

Mickey McMount Isa, Australia
Jun 11, 2022

Mount Isa renters as Tenants there will be a high probability you will be indirectly and heavily affected by MICC & Councillors proposed rate rise price hikes along with the rest of Mount Isa Rate Payers.

You may think Counsellors proposed draft 2022/2023 proposed projects and budget decisions may not directly affect you since you are not a home owner and personally not obligated to pay MICC Rates. The facts are you are highly probable to be affected nearly as greatly as every other rate payer, since the majority of Landlord Mount Isa Rate Payers would not be pleased or in agreement with councils proposed across the board general rate rise increases either.

Any rate rise will burden the rental property industry and their Landlords with additional financial property ownership costs and expenditure they certainly would not want to or willing to absorb and pay, so will certainly pass those additional rates rise costs straight down the line to you as their tenant/renter by increasing your weekly/fortnightly rental fees.

If you haven’t decided whether to sign this important rate rise objection petition, I strongly encourage you to reconsider joining forces with other financially struggling community members and the general population of Mount Isa Rate payers, because at the end of the day MICC & Councillors decision will ultimately and detrimentally affect your current Mount Isa residency affordability, community liveability and rental situation in Mount Isa.

Your signature will assist to progress this Change.org Petition to be presented and conveyed to add weight in an attempt to sway MICC/Councillors budget decisions outcomes and also display our fierce objections to their ridiculous, escalating, not strategically planned rate rise price hikes, which the majority of Mount Isa rate payers cannot currently afford to be plunged into further financial difficulties and hardships.

Thanks for supporting this important Petition !
