Local doctor reported to the GMC by developer for displaying posters on a private fence
After 3 weeks we have had over 417 signatures of objection.
The developer/ architect has now reported a local doctor who lives opposite the development to the GMC ( General Medical Council) because he refused to remove posters objecting to the new development.
A GMC referral is very serious and can end a doctors career. Yet the developer is happy to attempt to ruin a local doctors career so that they can build their 4 properties and make a large profit. The developer has tried to intimidate and harass local residents this week on numerous occasions.
The 4 properties were advertised in 2021 for £550,000 each. The owner of the land is also the architect who designed the 4 properties. They stand to make £2,200,000 from sales and do not care who they destroy in the process.
After the architect found out about the posters and petitions they threatened two residents with police action. They then contacted one residents employers to report them.
This complaint was disregarded.
So the Architect firm decided to report another resident who is a local doctor to the GMC. This doctor has worked in Hastings in the NHS for over 10 years. He has treated over 20,000 patients during this time. The developer knew this fact and decided to target his career hoping he would back down.
We are not backing down
These tactics are appalling.
This should be a simple case.
Those who support the application can support it
Those that object have the right to object.
The planning inspectorate will make the final decision.
Sadly the architect seems to only care about profits and making money. They do not care if they destroy careers or lives in the process
