Hi All,
I just wanted to say a great big thank you to all those who signed this petition and got the number to a whopping 1100 signatures in just 48 hours!! We have even made the news! (Link at the bottom of this email).
However, the fight is not over! We still need you all to share this petition to your friends and neighbours and let people know this is happening, as not everyone is on social media, and the estate is so big it’s impossible to knock on everyone’s door before the parish council meeting tomorrow!
Tomorrow evening, the parish council will be meeting at 7.30pm in the newton leys pavilion to listen to residents and to form their opinion on the matter! It would be great to see as many of you there as possible, to show support for this petition and to hear your views being read out to the councillors by the NL planning opposition committee! It has been fantastic meeting some of you on the rounds and listening to your views over the weekend! We will try to get your points across tomorrow! Hope to see you all there!
Remember, there is the tail end of that hurricane on its way, so the weather maybe quite unpredictable this week! Fear not, there is plenty of free parking at the pavilion and lots of roadside parking around the area 😉😉
Remember we still need to get our voices heard to Milton Keynes City Council, so we will continue the petition for a while longer yet, but the first step is to get as many signatures before tomorrows parish council meeting where we will present the petition so far! It’s critical we show that newton leys and the local area objects to Taylor Wimpey’s plans! Please keep sharing!
The news article is here!
Thanks again!
David, and the rest of the Newton Leys planning committee.
