Object to AI bots and crawlers on Instagram accounts
The Issue
Many individuals have used AI as a means to "create" images, fictional conversations, websites, fake promotional videos and much more. Which is not only found on Instagram, but across the internet.
But what does "create" truly mean?
According to https://dictionary.cambridge.org/ , which is a wildly used website and source.
To CREATE means: "to make something new, or invent something.."
But what could AI be possibly inventing that has not existed already? What could those AI users be selling, that has never had a drop of love or passion be put into it?
Artists all around the world, have put their heart and soul into everything that they make, they put all their blood, sweat, tears and years of practice to create something that they can then show to the world. People build careers around what they make, and then spend all of their time to advertise it all to the public.
Instagram is one of those websites that many artists have used to advertise their work. From sharing links to courses and classes, to websites where they can be commissioned or asked to provide help or a service. A lot of artists use art as a way of comfort and as a way to communicate with a wider audience, and in this exact way, relationships and trust is made.
But that very trust is broken when all of their hard work is eventually used to train technology that will ultimately take jobs away. Jobs that most people have worked so hard to build. It is so painful to the users of Instagram, to hear that the website that has been wildly used to advertise and converse with clients, will now be gradually stripped off its authenticity, and replaced with bots and AI that has trained from those art pieces, and is now trying to replicate something that has been around for years and years.

For the creative people that have worked so incredibly hard to harness their skill and marketing experience, to create a space where everyone will appreciate what has been made from the heart, and not from a prompt that cannot create anything for itself.
