As always, it is humbling to see the sheer volume of support this petition has garnered in the past few weeks. We are now well over 20,000 signatures and the numbers continue to grow. At present, multiple news sources have written about this petition, and have shared Draylen's story with thousands of readers nationwide. From small local papers, to CNN, to both the local, and college papers in the town of Oberlin, OH and Oberlin College, everyone is hearing about your dedication, your drive, and your continued desire to be a part of great change. We are incredibly pleased to announce that at this time, a meeting has been set to sit down over the phone and speak with the Dean of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music about this petition, and about what the Conservatory can do to not only keep Draylen's legacy alive but to support black artists at the collegiate level and beyond.
