Feb 15, 2018 — NYPD: 83-Year-Old Woman Struck and Killed by SUV in Woodside Feb. 14, 2018 By Christian Murray An 83-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by an SUV in Woodside this afternoon. The elderly woman was hit at around 2:30 p.m. while she walking westbound on Woodside Avenue and tried to cross 57th Street, police said. The victim was struck by a 2006 Toyota Highlander that was traveling westbound on Woodside Avenue when it made a right turn on 57th Street. The driver remained on the scene. EMS responded and pronounced the woman dead on the scene. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
