Yes, we did surpass 500 Supporters - that's YOU - for the continuation of youth programming for the next two years at the East Harlem Health Action Center! THANK YOU!!!!

Are you surprised? I'm not. We all know that youth thrive in environments in which they can build their skills, knowledge, and community, and that is what our Concrete Community has done. We grew over 5X our original size since moving into this building 10 years ago. We just need until June 2028 to ensure that we have continuity in our programming, and have time to secure another space to occupy thereafter.

Tell the NYC Department of Health that youth at Concrete Safaris are an investment in the present and future. Young people at Concrete Safaris run most of our operations - learning while doing - in cohorts of environmental and public health, placemaking, photography, gardening, outdoor play, volunteerism, evaluation, social media and marketing, fundraising and event planning, and nonprofit management. They complete experiential education projects that enable them to apply what they are learning to real life deliverables that get the community outdoors and active, which they can put on their resumes. And, they make money as they participate, which they use to support their goals, shop locally, and/or save for the future.

Please continue to share this petition as we work towards our next goal of securing 750 signatures....

Let's do this with and for the youth! THANK YOU!!!!

In Health,

Mac
