You may already have heard: After Council Member Rodriguez announced he could not support what he himself described as "the spot rezoning" at his press conference in Inwood last night, both the Council sub and full committees on Land Use and later on the full Council also voted against the spot rezoning of 4650 Broadway today. Community groups cheered the announcement last night and some attended the Council votes today to be certain of the vote. Many other Land Use issues remain as the InwoodNYC rezoning of the area above Dyckman Street continues. The coalition brought together as Northern Manhattan is Not for Sale organized the street events for Inwood and many heroic members of the community stayed vigilant to the end!
