The 2 links below describing Stormzy’s new iPhone movie, and using an untrained school boy actor, with Stormzy as lead, also not theatre trained, is my vision for what tech can do in schools, but now! And It’s devices we want to ban, ie the future - and its science too! Not pseudoscience or behaviourist. And who did it first? Dare l say the very much cancelled Ye 10 years ago. Must we wait another 10 to see devices allowed in schools? Hear me out please.
theGoodSchool’s only connection to Stormzy and Ye is the foreseeing of why banning technology, in schools, is not where we should be, but education’s focus on behaviourist concepts, dated in origins, keeps us stuck in a past, even afraid, of screens, like paper was to slate. And the view of tech is so passé, it’s moral panic of a gen who just don’t get its place! And yet they live in homes full of tech! So, their behaviourism, in training, as a patent we need to help them recognise - ie they educational tools, of the era, ie a choice that should be shown a red -+ card that says sell by; be gone.
Please see my earlier petitions to understand my/the journey and plan for theGoodSchool, which l see as a reduction in schools budgets, with plans ie to remove SEND thresholds, ie stop testing to allocate devices CYP already have! It’s what l call mean-testing, separatism and not seeing how to better spend money on projects more work led, and in industries like video/movie. And science and tech too needs boys and girls who get the future adapted for screens.
And my bigger version for tGS platform, is it ability to reduce policing budgets, ie training people in good should be a cornerstone of education, ie it reduces costly officer time, on crime, even penal systems too! It’s defence money we need now, but don’t have 10 years to build later. Or in logic that good, in schools, should be more than just academic. It’s where the head and heart are functioning development tools to assist “Betterflies” of belonging.
