The International Corporate Accountability Roundtable has awarded Al-Haq, a Palestinian NGO, a prestigious award for its work in holding businesses to account for human rights violations in Palestine.
Shawan Jabarin, Al Haq's general director received the Gwynne Skinner Human Rights Award on October 1.
He said: "Most recently, Al-Haq has worked to hold JCB, a British multinational company that produces heavy construction machinery.... accountable for their complicity in serious violations of international humanitarian and human rights laws. JCB heavy machineries are used in the destruction of Palestinian property..."
This is the company which has donated millions to the NSPCC but the children's charity refuses to break its links and continues to accept money from this toxic company which destroys the lives of Palestinian children.
