Novato City Council voted (4-1) to approve the Costco Mega Gas Station.

We did everything we could to make a good showing in opposition and protest, but big business and short-term financial interest got the go-ahead. It was no surprise, but still sad and disappointing. 

Our Major Rachel Farac was the only dissenting voice, the only one who really understands and cares that climate change is real and we need to stop new fossil fuel installations and protect clean air and wetlands, which are "priceless" and should not be for sale. Kudos to her and her courage!

We are not quite at the end of the road; we have an environmental lawyer who will review our options and determine whether there is a path forward to continue fighting the construction of this Mega Gas Station in our County. We will keep you posted.
