Chris Shaw, the Town Clerk for Northwich has just updated us on plans for a Skatepark at Verdin.
The Town Council are actively looking for funding, but the main source is no longer possible (WREN), as Northwich is no longer within the funding area.
There is a chance of funding through Veolia but this may prove hard, due to more competion… as more organizations will be after the same pot of money.
One positive we can take, is that the Town Council are on our side, there are many towns/cities where those in charge have no interest in providing this kind of facility, so again, it is all about funding.
If anyone has any ideas of how to raise/obtain the necessary funding, please feel free to contact us and we can pass any information on to the Town Council.
