As you are no doubt aware MWBA struggles to access sufficient facilities to meet demand. This year we expect to turn away nearly 200 teams from our competitions due to lack of space. We are a Not for Profit that receives no support from Government and funds all court hire through the fees we charge our customers.  
NBISC, which is also a Not for Profit, similarly receives no operating support from Council or the State Government. It funds all its operations, including capital works, through fees charged to us and other users. 
There are no modern, multicourt facilities owned by Northern Beaches Council that are available for use by sporting organisations as there are in almost every other Council area in Sydney. 
We do not require Council support to operate facilities to a high standard. We do require Council and/or State Government support to help develop facilities.

Encourage them to sign the petition so that we can advocate for the expansion of basketball facilities on the Northern Beaches, knowing that the community is behind us. Let’s get together and make this an important issue for them to address in the Northern Beaches community.
