Cancel mini roundabout plans in Gorleston
The Issue
A double mini roundabout has been planned to “ease congestion” on a busy junction in Gorleston.
The junction at Church Land, Crab Lane, Shrublands Way & Magdalen Way has worked perfectly for many years with its current traffic light arrangement.
Extra crossings are required, however the council have planned to remove the traffic lights and install two mini roundabouts plus cycle crossings. A move myself and many other residents feel is not required, harming the safety of road users and making the junction more awkward for larger vehicles such as buses to use safely.
We request you re-consider the design, and remove the roundabouts, instead just upgrade the traffic light system! We had NO public consultation on the matter!
