We strongly support the continued operation of Culture, and oppose the revocation of Cultures conditional use permit. Culture has been a staple in our community by hosting many community events, and curating monthly pop up shops for local entrepreneurs. In the interest of ethnic diversity in our city, Culture has continuously provided employment and exposure for many of our talented locals down to the custom murals on the walls designed and painted by a local artist. This may be just another establishment to your counsel, but it is pertinent for our community to have this outlet after the nearly two years that we’ve all survived due to Covid-19. 

In conclusion, We urge you to vote yes on the continued operation of Culture because Culture is an environment that the city of Norfolk needs for entertainment, but more importantly Culture is a sense of community our city needs. Our hope is that Culture will remain open and we can use this hearing as the first step in bringing our city, and local entrepreneurs together so that we all may keep our finger on the pulse of what our community needs going forward.
