Statement from Michael regarding his Remorse:
My parents raised me with love, principles and a little spoiling. I am the 'Baby boy' after all, but I've been the black sheep of the family because of childish stupidity, ignorance and naivety. Not because I'm criminal or evil, just stupid decisions.. and my family still supported me. Even coming to prison again for shit people KNOW I'D NEVER DO, they still supported me.
Taking money and jewelry is NOTHING compared to taking years, security and safety from someone's life. If I'd been convicted for robbery I wouldn't have received the time I'm serving now. (Life without parole.) But I can't lie, i'm almost 48 years old, I'm remorseful for my robberies, burglaries, drug dealing, using.. hell, I'm remorseful for ALOT of bad decisions and mistakes I've made. Plenty of wrong choices in my life.
On a separate note, I LOVE CHALLENGES. If we're going to change my image the first thing i'd like to say is that "Even though I'm wrongfully and unlawfully sitting in prison for a crime I didn't commit, prison has saved my life.. in more ways than one."
*End of statement*
Michael is open to podcasts and interviews.
People of the Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia area need to know that my aunt and uncle never gave up on Michael because they knew him. Sometimes immaturity takes one on long paths for protection from oneself.
I believe that the #exonerateMichael campaign was still a part of God's Master plan for my own growth and my own healing as a survivor of rape and kidnap. I took up the baton from where Michael's parents left off. The marathon continues.
