Hey everyone,
As you know by now, Maroon 5, Travis Scott & Big Boi (1/2 of Atlanta's OutKast) have agreed to perform during the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show. As you also know by now, many artists have refused to perform due to the NFL's ban of Colin Kaepernick. There's even a petition asking them to not perform w/ 84,000+ signatures.
To those who turned down the performance in solidarity with Kaep: You've just earn our complete respect!
To those who are performing the halftime show, helping the NFL with their ratings: We can't say the same when it comes to the "respect" factor. For some fans, the respect is completely gone (a shame). That Super Bowl stage -- and the entire NFL -- is tainted until they do right by Kaep.
However, if you want to somewhat redeem yourselves...then #TakeAKnee during your Super Bowl performance. Show the millions who are watching that you still support Kaepernick! THIS WILL GO A LONG WAY TO THE AUDIENCE WATCHING, many of them who don't care about boycotting the NFL. Taking a knee will send a message to the general audience.
Spread the word. We have 3 weeks let them know how serious we are on this.
