Hey everyone,
Eric Reid, the Carolina Panthers player who took a knee alongside Colin Kaepernick, just tweeted the above pic asking that he take another drug test. This marks the 7th drug test out of 11 games he's played. The 1st was part of his physical. The other 6 of them are completely "random".
Using a probability calculator, with a 13.8% chance of a player getting drug-tested each week, the odds of getting selected 6 times in 11 games is --- 0.15%. This is a clear sign of harassment!
We previously sent an update asking for you to contact the NFLPA (NFL Players Association). The NFLPA quickly said they would "look into it". It appears that hasn't worked so far.
It appears the NFL is looking for a fight with Eric Reid since he filed a grievance against them.
So here's what you can do:
- If you have a twitter account, click here to tweet directly to DeMaurice Smith, the executive director of the NFLPA. It includes a message which you can customize.
If you don't have twitter:
- Email the NFLPA (NFL Players Association) Executive department at nflpaexecutivedept@nflpa.com.
- If you don't have email, fill out the NFLPA online contact form by clicking here.
This has to stop, asap. You have the power for them to take immediate action by making your voice heard!
Keep your head up, Eric Reid.
