Got some news for you. Eric Reid, who took a knee alongside Colin Kaepernick, is currently being punished by the NFL. How, you ask? He's being asked to "randomly" take drug tests before nearly each game.

So far, Reid has taken 6 (six) drug tests out of the 8 (eight) games he's played since being signed this season.

Theoretically, he's done 1 drug test as part of his physical back in September. The other 5 tests -- however -- are completely random. What are the chances of him being "randomly" drug-tested, you ask?

Via the NFLPA:

"Each week during the preseason and regular season, ten (10) Players on every Club will be tested. By means of a computer program, the Independent Administrator will randomly select the Players to be tested from the Club’s active roster, practice squad list, and reserve list who are not otherwise subject to ongoing reasonable cause testing for performance-enhancing substances."

The Carolina Panthers (Reid's team) has 72 active players. 10 are selected each week. That's a 13.8% chance of being tested during the week. According to ForTheWin, the chances of one player being "randomly" selected 5 times in 8 weeks is about 0.2% (you have the same chance of flipping a coin and getting the same result nine times in a row).

Eric Reid's take: "It doesn't feel very random"

WE KNOW WHAT THIS IS. Eric Reid is still taking a knee before games. He hasn't dropped his collusion grievance he filed against the NFL when he was unsigned. THE NFL IS ACTIVELY PUNISHING HIM FOR HIS STANCE. 

So what can you do about this?

Simple. You can do 1 of 2 things:

• Email the NFLPA (NFL Players Association) Executive department at nflpaexecutivedept@nflpa.com.
• If you don't have email, fill out the NFLPA online contact form by clicking here.

In all, the NFLPA has to get involved with this, period! What's actively being done to Eric Reid isn't right. This falls in line with the many things the NFL hasn't done right since Colin Kaepernick took his knee in mid-2016.

Oh, and it's still #NoKaepernickNoNFL. Last we checked, Kaepernick is still unsigned and hasn't indicated he's ready to retire, so here's a reminder: Don't watch ANY games until Kaepernick is signed.

I have received email notice today that Eric Reid is being harassed by the NFL and his team as retribution for his taking a knee during the national anthem. The odds of being randomly selected for 5 out of 8 games this season are so small that they fall into winning a lottery category. As the player representative in league matters it is incumbent upon you to take immediate action over crap like this. Please act now!
