Petition update#NoKaepernickNoNFL - Boycott NFL Games If Colin Kaepernick Doesn't Play This SeasonNFL Wk 14: THIS is why you should continue boycotting NFL games until Kaep is signed

It's Week 14 of the 2017 NFL season and Colin Kaepernick still hasn't been signed. We haven't received any indication that he wants to stop playing, so your boycott continues as long as he's NOT SIGNED. IF YOU THINK YOUR BOYCOTT ISN'T MAKING AN IMPACT, OR YOU'RE GETTING "DISCOURAGED" THE LONGER THIS GOES ON...have no fear. As long as Kaepernick has a desire to play, your efforts will eventually come out VICTORIOUS! How do we know? Let's look at a prior & very famous boycott: The 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott (aka the Rosa Parks boycott). We know this boycott was started by Montgomery, Alabama resident Rosa Parks getting arrested for not giving her seat up to a white person back in December 1955, causing a bus boycott from Black leaders/residents in the city, introducing the world to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, and ended up desegregating the buses. However, there a few quick points many people don't know (or remember) from this boycott: 1. They didn't ask for full de-segregation at first 2. Around 2/3 of Montgomery bus riders were African-American 3. The boycott was supposed to be just 1 day 4. The boycott actually lasted 1 YEAR AND 15 DAYS 5. An "other side" developed, the White Citizens' Council, who's membership GREATLY increased during this time. 6. During that period, other cities like Tallahassee, FL had similar bus boycotts that were successful. That last point is important. Other cities feared similar financial backlash due to the high number of African-Americans riding the bus systems at the time. However, the main city (Montgomery) still held a boycott as a resolution wasn't reached yet. As this ties into the current Colin Kaepernick situation, notice how during this boycott period the NFL has invested into things OTHER than the reason why the boycott started in the first place: Organizations, Coalitions, and most recently the $89 million over 7yrs investment from the owners (aka "hush money") ---- but never addressed the ROOT cause and solution of our boycott OR why Kaepernick started his protest: Cause: Boycott started because Kaepernick isn't signed. Solution: One of the 32 teams should sign Kaepernick & give him a real chance to play. Just like how the Montgomery Bus Boycott lasted until the city acknowledged full desegregation, which took a full 1 year and 15 days to do...your boycott of NFL games should continue as long as Kaepernick isn't signed --- NO MATTER HOW LONG IT IS (NFL PLAYOFFS, SUPER BOWL, ETC). If their ratings sink as a result, that's their problem. But no Kaep, No NFL! Once the NFL Owners realize this, they will eventually sign him as long as Kaep has a desire to play the game, so he can continue making a living doing what he's great at. FINAL NOTE: For those that say, "so what's next after Kaepernick gets signed?? Police will still kill unarmed people of color." --- First, an NFL owner has to sign him first. THEY HAVEN'T EVEN DONE THAT YET...and it's not because of his stats (that should be clear by now). Let's get there first. And second, saying "signing Kaepernick doesn't stop police for killing unarmed people of color" is like saying "Rosa Parks' bus boycott movement won't end 'racism'". That's not the point. The point is for the NFL and its 32 Owners (and its newly paid commissioner) to simply acknowledge the wrong they did for banning Colin Kaepernick, and to bring him back -- or we still won't watch any NFL games. Simple as that! (Watch the above video on the full story of the 1955 Montgomery Bus boycott. Very good & informative video!) #NoKaepernickNoNFL
