That's right. (forgot there was still a NFL season?)
The NFL has been so caught up with this 'Anthem Issue' that it has delayed commissioner Roger Goodell's contract extension, which would've been done this past week during the owner's meetings had it not been the case.
And speaking of the owner's meetings this past week, they did NOT force players to stand for the anthem, while working with players to 'address community issues'. Several players wrote op-ed's to news articles supporting the protest/reform, while others give their remaining salary to social causes.
Meanwhile, Seattle Seahawks' Michael Bennett later said that NFL players will NOT talk to owners again until "the issue of Colin Kaepernick's employment status is addressed". (Source: http://es.pn/2ySXWUp)
Plus, TV ratings for the games continue to fall, as the 1st 6 weeks of this NFL season saw a 7.5% decrease from last season, and more than 18% decrease from 2015. (Source: http://es.pn/2yvDkAk)
In all, YOUR BOYCOTT IS WORKING, and it's continued to work.
And for those who are still concerned about the "other side" --- look at it this way: If the league "forced" players to stand for the anthem, that would've made many of the CORE NFL players upset, while leaving a bad taste in the fans mouth (who supported the protest) --- which would lead them to join our boycott.
At this point, it's a no-win situation for the NFL.
This could've all been avoided had they not black-balled Kaepernick in the first place.
