Help us action a Noise Barrier/Safety Wall on Lonsdale Road Hallett Cove!

With the increasing traffic of cars, motorbikes and trucks at all hours, day and night, the deafening noise has become unbearable for residents.

Dozens of houses are just metres from this busy highway and are subjected to noise, pollution and a constant fear of an errant vehicle running off the road at 80 km per hour into their homes. The sound pervades far beyond those adjacent to the road but affects the lives of a huge proportion of the  residents of the entire suburb.

Most of these houses were built nearly 40 years ago, back when Lonsdale Road was seldom used. Since then, massive developement of Sheidow Park, Noarlunga, Seaford, etc. have boomed and the traffic is now a constant drone that impacts thousands of Hallett Cove residents, not just those abutting the road.

The Dept. for Infrastructure & Transport have neglected this arterial road for decades. Between Barramundi Drive and where Ragamuffin Road runs adjacent,  the western side of Lonsdale Road doesn't even have a kerb or storm water gutters. During heavy downpours, run-off from the highway runs down the embankment flooding the residents properties.

Please sign on to help us get a Noise Barrier Wall erected. It is long past due.
