Ocean Park Baptist Church can be preserved as a church with potentially a daycare & school as it’s been for decades with its existing Residential R5D Class Description 708 Religious - Churches Zoning.
“Preserving” a Church = a church.
This was clearly a blasphemes attempt to “preserve” the reputation of our church and would have opened the door wide open to it becoming a bar by right:
“Preserving” by trying to use Business Zoning B-1A = a party event venue serving alcohol 🍷 🍺 🥃 multiple times a week that is short ~ 50 parking spots inserted inside a Residential neighborhood!
- There is no business need for a party event venue inserted inside a Bayfront residential neighborhood.
- There is no new Conditional Use Permit approved Business Zoning inserted inside any residential Bayfront neighborhood.
- There are existing parking challenges inside Ocean Park that negatively affect the neighborhood & public safety.
Say no way to B-1A.
Say no way to party event venue surrounded by homes.
Say no way to no parking for 50 vehicles.
Say no way to B-1A!
p.s. Ocean Park Baptist Church has been loved for decades.
