Subject: Important Update on Our Fight for Adequate Water Supply

Dear Friends,

I’m pleased to share a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to secure a reliable and adequate water supply for our community. As you know, we filed a petition with the State Commission, raising two main demands:

1. **No Water, No Tax** – Water tax should not be charged if water supply is inadequate.
2. **Refund** – Refund of water tax previously collected where the water supply has been inconsistent or insufficient.

Last month, we had a crucial admission hearing. Not only did the Hon. Commission agree to hear our case on its merits, but they also accepted our application to file this complaint in a representative capacity, meaning our case can stand on behalf of the broader community.

This decision is a positive step forward, and we hope it encourages the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) to address the shortcomings in water distribution, not only in Bavdhan but across all of Pune.

### Next Steps:
PMC will now submit a formal response to the issues we raised. While this is a legal process that may take time, I believe that, with continued pressure, PMC may expedite the resolution to avoid penalties. I am committed to keeping up the momentum to see this through.

Bavdhan is a large area, and we’re now receiving requests from other regions who want to join this initiative. To build further support and awareness, we may need to meet with societies across Bavdhan and surrounding areas.
