Wow! Just wow. Your signatures and your comments to the WA State Parks & Recreation Commission, opposing the militarization of Washington State Parks, are making a huge difference. Thank you so much.
Because of your emails, and letters and postcards, a special public meeting has now been scheduled on May 6th in Pt. Townsend where WA-PRC Commissioners will hear from the public. We will update you with the time when we know it. We expect it to be around 6 pm. Yes, we need you to be there. Or if you live out of the area, we need you to send a friend to be there representing you. Cards, letters, emails are great. Physical bodies in the chairs will amplify the message. So make plans to be there. (Whidbey residents: walk on at Keystone. Rides are being organized to Ft. Worden on Pt. Townsend side.)
And, on March 12th, at a regular meeting of the Parks Commission in Chelan, the Navy proposal will be presented to commissioners at 12:45 pm. A Webex streaming link has been published. We are asking you to join the meeting via the link to virtually demonstrate your opposition to this ridiculous proposal.
