We are now at the close of this long weekend, and this petition has been on a rocket ride! Because of you, and the wider community passionate about the sanctity of our state parks. And what we might lose if we allow the US Military to conduct covert SEAL team training within our parks.
We so appreciate you because you are generating a flood of emails to the WA State Parks and Recreation commission. And they are noticing. And we are noticing too. At this writing, petition signatures have come from 28 states! We knew this petition would get the attention of WA state residents. We are so heartened that it has spread so widely across the United States and even to Canadian provinces and US Territories.
And so now we are starting to dream big. We want to go deep AND wide. We'd like to see petition signatures from as many states as possible. If you know anybody in the following states, please ask them to join you and hundreds of others who have signed this petition::
Arkansas
Delaware
District of Columbia
Georgia
Guam
Indiana
Kentucky
Maine

It is good to see some GoFundMe donations to the campaign. It helps our research team, the logistics team, the media team, and the legal team to bring together a strategy to push back against the US Military. And we are doing it and can continue to do it if you will donate whatever you can afford - even just $10. We are nearing 1000 petition signers so a lot of small donations can supercharge our efforts. Numerous small donations will allow us to mobilize a large number of people to travel to Chelan or Pt. Townsend where WA State Parks & Recreation will be determining the fate of the 29 coastal parks at risk. The donations will pay for transport, food, & lodging. And flyers and handouts to education the public.
Finally, we thank you for what you are doing. Please continue to spread the word in any creative way you can think of.
