A resident of Richmond BC Canada has started a petition to the City of Richmond to pave the trail that extends from Francis road to Shell road to "alleviate" the traffic the goes down his residential road (Bissett Dr). This trail serves Richmond as one of the only trails that is designated as an "off leash" trail, where dogs can be free in a safe setting and not in one of the small and often crowded "off leash" parks.  There are other options that can relieve the traffic on Bissett Dr that dont involve uprooting and destruction of a trail system that is vital to the residents of Richmond, like adding speed bumps.  Please join me in showing the City of Richmond that there is no need to remove this great trail that is becoming a rarity in Richmond.
