Greetings all,

With July almost upon us, we now have just short of 500 signatures. I have spent a few days out in our community, delivering leaflets & talking to residents, and am still encountering some who had no idea about what TCC are proposing for Welcome Bay Road. I have also spoken with others who were aware of the petition, and said they’d been meaning to sign it, which is a tad frustrating to put it politely 😒. This is where I need your help. Please remind others again to sign the petition, be they workmates, flatmates, or even your children. One resident I spoke with thought they couldn’t sign, as they were here on a work permit & didn’t have residency. As I explained to them, one does not need to be enrolled to vote to participate, all they require is a valid email address.

Further consultation regarding the future of Welcome Bay Rd will be held in either late July or August, and I will post the details in a future update as soon as I have them. Thank you all kindly for your support.
