Greetings all.

Today has been an interesting day. It almost felt as if I was campaigning again, but without an election to face 😆. I’ve visited many businesses which would be adversely affected by the proposed “upgrades”, and all but one agreed to display a poster for the petition. Their excuse was that they wanted to remain impartial. I respect their choice, so won’t be naming them here. You know who you are 😉. So anyhow…

Opposition to both the lights & HOV lane was unanimous amongst everyone I spoke to. Whilst most were aware of the proposed traffic lights at the Kaitemako Rd intersection and thought they were unnecessary, many expressed utter disbelief & anger regarding $600,000 of their money being spent upon surveillance equipment, to fine residents for using the wrong lane.
I appreciate every single one of your signatures, but that is not enough. If we want to stop this from happening, you need to share the petition with your neighbours, & get them to sign it! If you don’t know them, then this petition could be a great conversation starter. I don’t imagine one will encounter too much resistance, when expressing the opinion that TCC don’t listen. When we get several thousand signatures on this petition, THEY WILL HAVE TO!
