In a world that wasn't on fire, literally, every state would ban new gas stations, and make the current ones switch to electric and embracing renewable energy.
Instead, we get to be the next town Krogers/Food4Less gets to put a gas station. And not in the Cove, but in an area who will be most affected by the negative consequences of a gas station (135 from housing), with the least benefits.
Krogers can renovate their renovation plans for keeping shoppers coming to their stores. City Councils and Planning offices can renovate the City Plan to ban any new gas stations, and that all current ones begin adding solar and EV charging stations
California is moving towards only EV by 2035. Let's think ahead and not add more fuel to the flaming planet we have left.
This proposed project is not in line with the community who has come out to oppose this gas station on Victoria and Date Palm. and ask that something be put there that benefits the community. Our taxes, which are more than the new gas station would pay, incidentally, can be put to better use.
Please make your voices heard and oppose this project.
