Yesterday we were honoured to announce that we collected 10,082 signatures, which were tabled in the House of Commons by twenty-seven members of Parliament. Twenty-seven!
It was also announced that this morning (Friday) at 10 AM EST the official opposition would be bringing forward a motion calling to remove the tax on all menstruation hygiene products.
The motion is as follows:
“That, in the opinion of the House, the government should remove the GST from feminine hygiene products.”
This is huge!
It is an opportunity to finally hear from all elected parties and their representatives whether they agree that the tax on period products is unfair.
