NO SE APRUEBE EL CLUB DE PLAYA CABO MANTARRAYA
La causa
In Cozumel there is the last coastal reef called Villa Blanca, it is close to the center. It houses species protected by NOM-059-SEMARNAT-2010 such as ACROPORA PALMATA (elkhorn) coral Orbicella annularis, Orbicela faveolata, parrotfish Scarus and Sparisoma) and a great diversity of coral species, marine invertebrates and marine flora. Naturally, the community has divided the use of the reef into two sections. To the south, it is used for diving, mostly by local divers, for the benefit of the local community, who do not need a boat to sell their tours and can bring food to their Cozumel families, and they do not need marine park permits to use the reef, giving them the opportunity to work and benefit their local families.
The north of the reef is used for swimming and there local swimming training is provided for children, young people, adults from the Cozumel community, and the town itself uses the space as a PUBLIC BEACH where they go to swim, enjoy the local coexistence, enjoy the sunset, use the space for photo sessions of social events, walk on the beach, and its boardwalk.
Along the reef, every afternoon, at the end of their work day, workers sit down to socialize next to the sea of the Villa Blanca reef and enjoy the beautiful sunset in a healthy coexistence.
On this reef they want to build the fourth pier to the south of the reef and to the north a beach club called CABO MANTARRAYA which is currently open to public consultation.
Help us sign so that CABO MANTARRAYA BEACH CLUB IS NOT APPROVED.
