Meeting Tonight 8pm Ordinance and Rules Committee

Fellow supporters,

The Ordinances and Rules Committee has our Spot Zoning change issue on their agenda for tonight at 8pm city Hall. Please email the council members so that they are aware of your stance about this matter. At the prior public meeting of Survey and Planning it was interesting to note how they discussed to pass with recommended limitations to the use and  this was explained by petitioner attorney as "Contract Zoning” which is ilegal ; yet they forgot that “Spot Zoning” is ilegal as well.  

The city council should act in the best interest of residents. Don’t grant a Zone change that is not in the best interest of overall community. This is giving the developer a blank check as Business B zone.. if anything the corner in question is becoming more residential by the efforts building across the corner and existing adjacent abbutter resident condos along Prospect street. Please help advocate for development with heart and care for the area, we can make a difference with our joined voices.
