This is not the news I was hoping to share with you. Learning Care Group has responded, and it was not favorably.

For those of us at TYS-KC, we received the message today inviting enrollment for a fee, which was probably a clue for you  

In their response, LCG stated that they have evaluated their ability to continue to offer the RockStarts program free of charge. They are working with the vendor to offer the program at a discounted rate lower than their other electives and typical market rate for similar services. For families who choose not to participate, the regular curriculum offers plenty of opportunities for music integration.

We are crafting a reply as we don’t feel this is a suitable answer. The fact is, we are continuing to pay more while receiving less. Our kids should not be subjected or impacted further by this budgetary burden.

Your input is valued and appreciated, and helps us add more perspective than just our own. One step at a time, but onward we march.  

I’m sorry it’s not the news we were hoping for, but I’m hopeful we just aren’t there YET.
