We should all be very concerned!

Cockburn Council has called a special council meeting on 22nd August at 6:00pm for a vote of no confidence in Cockburn Deputy Mayor Lee-Anne Smith.

She has fallen out with the Labor Party and they have set the wheels in motion to discredit and silence her dissent. This now that she has reversed her opinion of Roe 8 and is exposing the propaganda, lies and deceit that was propagated during the last few years and lead up to the last State election. Very much like what has happened to NSW MP Emma Husar with Labor throwing her under the bus with party infighting for preselection. Modus operandi by a thuggish Labor Party.

Anyone who lives in Cockburn should be horrified by this as it goes against the democracy we live by, no matter what your opinion on the Deputy Mayor. What is the basis compared to indiscretions of councillors such as those of Fremantle that were arrested for trespass at the Roe 8 site?

Time to rise up Pro Roe people - and anyone who believes in democracy. Get down to Cockburn and make your voice heard.

Also write to Minister David Templeman outlining your dissatisfaction in how this council is being run.
