Main Roads has been advised that the Federal Minister for Urban Infrastructure and Cities Paul Fletcher and WA Minister for Transport Rita Saffioti will today release a media statement providing details of the approved concept design for the Murdoch Drive Connection to Kwinana Freeway and Roe Highway. The Metropolitan Road Improvement Alliance (MRIA) and Main Roads will now seek to work with community and stakeholders, in particular the Cities of Melville and Cockburn, to deliver the project to mitigate and manage construction and operational impacts including on the local road network. This will include reconvening the project Construction Reference & Technical Working Groups, likely in January, and proceeding with project public displays currently tentatively scheduled for February.
