Even without trucks and freight, the fact that 70% is passenger car traffic, the cancellation of Roe 8 will only mean many hundreds of millions of dollars upgrading Leach Hwy and South St. Overpasses will be required at these intersections along Stock Road. All those worried about houses being resumed along these routes will need to start worrying all over again. This not including all the upgrades on main arterial and residential roads in Cockburn. The outer Harbour is at least 20 years away from being economically viable, therefore something urgently needs to be done to upgrade the road network now.
