Another 500 people that see the benefit of continuing with this very important infrastructure. The total sunk cost of Mark McGowan pulling out of the contracts to construct Roe Hwy are currently $158 Million. That's approximately one quarter of the total cost of building the Perth Freight Link. COST BREAKDOWN.......... Roe 8 works to date = $70m (incl costs committed and incurred by contractors) Roe 9 = $25m (incl design and commitment to contractors and subcontractors) Construction of Tonkin/Roe intersection = $41m ( works to be completed next month) Roe 8 design and consultation = $22m $158m and 10,000 direct and indirect jobs down the drain. No southern access to Fiona Stanley Hospital and continued growing congestion on our roads. Is this what we want for our great state of WA? We should be progressing forward to take WA into the future not backwards with cancelling this long awaited project. Keep sharing and let's all get together in solidarity to protest against any decision to cancel the final part of the Roe Hwy plan!
