We just found out there is a meeting with the board members of Doe Mountain Recreation on Tuesday, October 1st at 1pm. If you are able to attend this meeting is open to the public and I encourage you all to attend and show your support for this proposed shooting range to be moved/built outside of the residential area it's currently proposed to be.
As of now the shooting range's proposed building site is less than a tenth of a mile from the county's largest animal rescue, which is located within a quiet residential community.
The shooting range is a great idea but it needs to be built away from the rescue and at from residential areas. Doe Mountain Recreation is huge and there are plenty of other places to put a shooting range that would not be detrimental to animals at the rescue or residents in the community.
