The Issue

The people who gave lacrosse to the world deserve the opportunity to compete on its biggest stage—as themselves, under their own flag.

We call on World Lacrosse, the International Olympic Committee, LA28, and national lacrosse federations to secure the Haudenosaunee Nationals’ eligibility for the 2027 World Lacrosse Sixes Championships in Colorado Springs and the Olympic qualification pathway that follows.

Their opportunity to advance must depend on their performance on the field. Inclusion means recognizing the Nationals as their own team, rather than offering individual Haudenosaunee athletes places on other nations’ rosters.

COLORADO IS THE MOMENT FOR ACTION

If the Nationals are excluded from Colorado, Olympic qualification can continue without them. Players must organize before roster selections and competition begin.

Expressions of solidarity must become commitments.

THE PLAYER PLEDGE

Players joining this pledge commit:

“I will not accept a national team sixes roster spot for the 2027 World Lacrosse Sixes Championships or subsequent LA28 Olympic qualifying competition unless the Haudenosaunee Nationals are eligible to compete as their own team, under their own flag.”

Players: sign this petition and explicitly state “I take the player pledge” in your signing comment if you are making that personal commitment.

THE SUPPORTER COMMITMENT

All other signers endorse the call for Haudenosaunee inclusion and support players who take this pledge. A general signature does not represent a claim that the signer is a national team player or prospect.

We ask national federations to publicly support inclusion and respect players who decline participation on this basis.

This is an independent, supporter-led initiative. It does not claim endorsement or authorization from the Haudenosaunee Nationals.

Stand with the Nationals. Make the commitment before the next roster is named.
