No More Un-Fit Presidents

No More Un-Fit Presidents
The Issue
We’re tired of having leaders who are so old that they feel out of touch with what’s happening today. When presidents are in their 70s and 80s, it’s hard to believe they really understand the challenges we deal with on a daily basis. Our world is changing fast—technology is moving quicker than ever, social issues are more complex, and our generation is the one who will live with the results of decisions being made right now. It doesn’t feel right that people who grew up in a completely different time, with different values and problems, are the ones in charge of shaping our future. We want leaders who can connect with us, who understand what matters in today’s world, and who can think about the future we’re going to inherit.
That’s why we believe there should be an age limit and clear health requirements for anyone running for president. This isn’t about being unfair or discriminating against older people—it’s about making sure the people in charge of running an entire country are truly capable of handling the job. Being president is not easy; it requires quick decision-making, mental sharpness, energy, and a real understanding of the present moment. Health assessments should be routine, transparent, and honest so that the public can trust that their leaders are physically and mentally able to do the work. We don’t want leaders who are too tired or too disconnected—we want leaders who are ready to take on the problems of today with energy and focus.
By putting these standards in place, we can guarantee that the people leading us are strong enough, sharp enough, and connected enough to represent everyone fairly. Our generation deserves leaders who will not only look out for their own interests, but who will actually think about the next fifty years and beyond. We want presidents who will take on climate change, who will understand new technology, who will relate to social movements, and who will be able to stand up for the country in times of crisis. This is about protecting our future and making sure the government reflects the people it serves. If you agree with us, sign this petition so we can make sure that the leaders of tomorrow are actually ready to serve today. Together, we can push for leadership that reflects our time, our struggles, and our future.
