My eleven year-old daughter Grace is a two-time cancer survivor. Her cancer wasn’t an accident. I believe the radioactive contamination from the Santa Susana Field Lab, the site of one of America’s worst nuclear meltdowns, caused it.

The Santa Susana Field Lab is 1 of 107 sites across America that need complete cleanups because of the Department of Energy’s radioactive spills, leaks and accidents. 

But the person who could be nominated to be in charge of these cleanups, Ike White, doesn’t seem to care much about the kids who are getting cancer and other life-threatening diseases from radioactive contamination. 

If confirmed, Ike White would kill any hope Environmental Justice communities have for meaningful cleanups during President Biden’s time in office.
