Petition updateNo more kids with cancer: clean up the Santa Susana Field LabWe’re people, not statistics

Thank you so very much to everyone who donated so generously to send our “Mothers Who Move Mountains” trip to Washington DC next week. We raised enough money and I’m packing my suitcase as we speak! We have several meetings scheduled with our elected officials there.

But we have one major hurdle: elected officials like to focus on statistics. All. Day. Long.

But we aren’t just statistics. My daughter Gracie isn’t just a statistic and you aren’t either. We need to show them that the cleanup of the Santa Susana Field Lab was never about the money… it’s about the people!

That’s why I’m asking for you to send your photo, if you live or have lived within fifteen miles of the site (West Hills, Simi Valley, Westlake Village, Chatsworth, Canoga Park, Oak Park, Calabasas, Woodland Hills, Bell Canyon, Malibu, Northridge, Agoura Hills, or anywhere affected by the Woolsey Fire). It can be a photo from your social media page, or your cell phone, or whatever works for you.

Let’s show our federal agencies and government officials that we each have a story. We are each worth protecting.

We need your photo by TOMORROW! Please email them to santasusanacampaign@gmail.com and please share this message with any of your friends who also live in these areas.

Thanks!

Melissa
