Next Monday, October 8th, California’s gubernatorial candidates Newsom and Cox will engage in their first and only debate before the elections. We want to hear from them on where they stand regarding the Santa Susana Field Lab cleanup, and we need your help to get a question in front of them.

As part of our week of action, will you submit a question about Santa Susana for the debates? You can do so by calling KQED at (415) 553-3300.

Submit your own question, or you can read this one below:

Over 50 children have been diagnosed with cancer within miles of the Santa Susana Field Lab, the site of the worst nuclear meltdown in U.S. history. Will you both commit to clean up this dangerous site if elected?

If you have time, leave a comment below letting me know that you submitted! And if you haven’t already, consider coming to our rally tomorrow in downtown LA.

Best,

Melissa
