This week, things escalated. A new video surfaced - filmed in broad daylight, on a public street, while witnesses called 911 in real time.

The video is from August 11th, 2025 and shows the incident that lead to the owner's arrest.  This isn’t rumor or hearsay. It’s what happened.

In addition, reports and artifacts have been submitted that show Hugh begging former patrons for sympathy!

“I didn’t do anything wrong.”
➡️ Video: forces the door open while people inside scream “CALL 911! STOP! HELP!”

“I would never in a million years lay a finger on anyone.”
➡️ Video: physical confrontation at the doorway -- you be the judge.

“I’m absolutely being set up.”
➡️ Video: multiple eyewitnesses filming, calling 911 in real time. 

“When I pulled up, they were already on the phone with the police reporting me.”
➡️ Video: Calls begin as he arrives -- and the people on the line sound terrified.

“I don’t have a criminal record.”

“I am… fighting for my life on this.”
➡️ Straight out of the R. Kelly playbook. Crocodile tears. 

That video is chilling. I had to take a breather after watching it -- and I wasn’t even there.

Here's an example of this same pattern of harassment from back in 2019, and there's plenty more where that came from. This has been going on for years! It's largely speculated they changed their name to escape their reputation (Hint: They used to go by Best Buds) https://imgur.com/a/YvA1fBA

The community should know: the full archive of business practices, communications, and documented patterns is already in safe hands. Public records will be developing in the coming weeks. Screenshots and records will continue surfacing until this is resolved -- either through new, neutral ownership of 1-Up Lounge and Cardhaven, or by them closing their doors for good!
