Wow 100 signatures came fast! Thank you to everyone who has signed — whether recently or back when this petition was first launched. If you signed years ago, you may notice the petition’s focus has grown. Here’s why:

When this petition began, the goal was to push for 1‑Up Lounge to become a 21+ establishment due to concerns about minors in a bar environment. At that time, the larger allegations weren’t as clear or corroborated.

Now, in 2025, we have a much fuller picture:

  • Three major Reddit threads (2022, 2024, and July 2025), all archived and verified by moderators, contain dozens of independent testimonies from former employees and patrons.

  • Former employees have also left comments directly on this petition — their stories align with what’s being shared on Reddit.

  • The Reddit threads have seen story after story flood in: harassment, intimidation, wage theft, and toxic treatment of staff.

  • On June 26, 2025, 1‑Up’s own Instagram admitted to a liquor license violation, further confirming a pattern of disregard for compliance.

Addressing Concerns Raised Online
Some have asked: “What power does a petition really have?” It’s true — a petition alone doesn’t shut down a business. But it does:

Raise awareness so people looking up the business see a public record of concerns.

Encourage victims to step forward — many have already found the courage to tell their stories because they know they aren’t alone.

Attract media and regulatory attention — when communities speak loudly enough, agencies and journalists listen.

What You Can Do Next
