Dollar General is a predatory retailer that has been targeting low-income communities. This is not good for our community, as the most recent proposed Dollar General is located in a small commercially zoned lot in the middle of a housing district with NO OTHER RETAIL STORES AROUND. This dollar general site would completely disrupt the community around it. It’s location is 1911 N State HWY 118, Alpine, Tx 79830 in the empty lot between the auto shop and The Hallmark apartments. 

Dollar General also targets low-income areas with their products, which are cheaper because they are made with lower quality materials and ingredients. This can lead to health issues for those who shop at this store on a regular basis.

We need to protect our community from corporations like Dollar General who only care about making money off of us!
