Petition updateNo James Braddock Park DiversionPlease tell State officials that there are viable alternative sites and funding for the NB preschool
S CNorth Bergen, NJ, United States
Jun 1, 2022

North Bergen disregarded NJ DEP's 09-01-21 deadline to remove its 17 trailer preschool from Braddock Park and betrayed the will of its voters, who, in a special 2018 referendum, approved $65 million to implement North Bergen's school realignment plan. This plan, which NJ DOE also approved, specified that North Bergen's preschool would be removed from Braddock Park and ALL the preschoolers placed in elementary schools.

The township also just spent $2 million to buy a building next to its Town Hall, but it doesn't know what the building will be used for. North Bergen could have better used this money and the $10 million Governor Murphy recently "gifted" North Bergen, for preschool relocation use.

If you want North Bergen preschoolers to have permanent, safer and better preschool facilities than the current trailers located in a public park (Braddock Park) tell State officials ASAP that there are viable alternative sites and funding, for the preschool. Please email:
