Its great to grow the understanding about the houses planned for Barnham Broom, and the press article has done a good job. This isn't about not wanting the village to grow, its about wanting new affordable and social housing in the village, so young families, and those in the area who can't afford a new home, have the chance to grow their families, or house their elderly loved ones, in a familiar place, with enough space for a garden and enjoy a rural lifestyle. Please add a comment if you can, its free to subscribe to the online paper, we need SNDC to be accountable for not supporting the parish council to engage the village-as it appears this is could be the case, or did the parish council believe no one in the village cared? Unfortunately at recent meetings, the parish councillors (apart from 3 members) and their temporary clerk, seem to want to blame the villagers for not attending the monthly, at times, online meetings, which unless you had an alert on your phone, you'd miss the date. Sadly, they seem to take some perverse pleasure in punishing the village, despite being asked to resign, they pull rank, ensure all of them are not there at one time, and ignored 2 requests to add increasing the meeting frequency to the EGM agenda on May 22nd. That means there is no meeting now until July. Any criticism made of the 4 councillors is called harassment or bullying- they even say they are informing the police, and one person has been threatened with being sued.. so everyone is being silenced. Really dodgy.
